The Big And The Beautiful Headlines

If you’re an Internet surfing junkie like me, you already may have stumbled across websites with the mentioned characteristics. Their headlines are bold (emphasized), large but beautiful in its unique way. Some website owners or designers do it because it fits the company branding. Some blog designers or blog authors love it because it makes … Read more

P1 Team Fixes and Enhances Malaysia Wimax Coverage Map

Few weeks ago, I received my promotional code for a 6-months free subscription of P1 Wimax. This was when I last visited the P1 Wimax booth at the third-leg of the PC Fair – along with the PC Fair booth babes. Naturally, first thing I wanted to know was if my area was covered. Plus, … Read more

The US Whitehouse Website Trumps All Our Government Websites

Pictures speak a thousand words. In this case, one website screenshot of the official US whitehouse website trumps not only all our government websites but I’d literally say, put all of them to shame and embarassment. Why is it so difficult to understand and educate Malaysia politicians we need government websites which are more user-friendly … Read more

Why Churches Are Hiring Modern Website Designers?

notre dame catherdralI was reading The Role of Design in Modern Church Marketing at Sitepoint articles and really liked the perspective thoughts in it. Modern website designs may not be touching base in Malaysia yet but I’ve definitely come across churches who engage Malaysia website design companies to either build a website or online community.

In the US, it’s become such a trend you can even hire a website agency specialized in developing church website solutions. *shock* Plus, most (or all) these websites are web standards compliant while looking great and interesting. But why or how hiring modern website designers beneficial to the church website?

Economic Downturn versus Creative Marketing

money pileMarketing as some say is only a gimmick. However, marketing plays an important role of gaining business and winning over competitors. Just like how Absolut positioned itself with it’s creative marketing campaigns, I love the creative form of marketing. Turning and twisting simple ideas into mind boggling yet interesting (or interactive) visuals.

Especially in times of turmoil; economic downturn, financial crisis is transforming from rumour into reality all around the world. But I’d believe creative marketing is a force for it to be reckon against. Here’s one I found today. A very simple idea but a catchy one.

P1 Website Upgrade Due to Customer Feedback

Remember how I was saying PacketOne (P1) wants to listen to customer feedback about their Wimax service in Malaysia? Well, their website upgrade proved to me they also listen to feedback on their website. I know this because I heavily recommended a number of things to their website manager during their P1 open floor discussion.

I’m also really happy about the upgrade because they’re not a company who listens and not do. This is the type of business culture many Malaysia companies don’t want to adapt. They don’t because they’re in fear of their bosses requests and because, they practically don’t want more work to do – though it helps them in the long term. But let me show you how the P1 website has been improved after the upgrade.

The New Maybank2u Website is Finally Here

Like a number of other Malaysia bloggers, I was invited to witness and experience the private launch of the new Maybank2u website dubbed Maybank2u 2.0. Yes, as loosely the term is used I was really surprised the effort and responsibility Maybank’s virtual banking group has taken to upgrade their current website – it’s terrible now.

If there was one thing I always banged the current Maybank2u website, it was it’s information architecture or call it; website structure. I remember without fail I’d comment on how I couldn’t find anything I wanted and resorted to using Google whenever I wanted to find what I wanted on Maybank2u. But all that’s going to change – I hope.

New MYNIC Malaysia Website Launches and Misses

MYNIC is the domain registry and domain registrar in Malaysia. They also are administrator for the .my top level domain name and second-level Malaysia domain names for organizations, businesses and individuals. Such as .com.my, .net.my, .org.my, .gov.my, .edu.my, .mil.my, and .name.my.

Currently, you can only register Malaysia domain names with MYNICs appointed resellers. And, not every company may apply to be a reseller (even if you are an MSC company). But I’m not here to rant about the MYNIC registration process. Instead, I’d like to discuss about their new website launched on June 25, 2008.

The Perfect E-Commerce Website Layout

The votes so far on the Nuffnang poll I put up (on the right; Nuffnang Column) lean towards website lessons and website design. So have you ever thought you would find or create the perfect e-commerce website layout? And, the website layout may not necessarily refer to the website design.

A perfect website layout is like when Indiana Jones was in search for the last crusade and lead him towards the Holy Grail. Movie metaphors aside a thought hit me one day; what if I created an e-commerce website layout which was near perfect?
