I only received this phishing email minutes ago. And I’m publishing this right now because I was almost fooled into believing this email was completely legit from CIMB Bank. It sounded so legit because we are prone to DDoS attacks and accounts who don’t answer will be suspended. Plus, we all know how cumbersome it … Read more
I met up with a couple of LowYat forum members who were bloggers. It was a small gathering before we headed into PC Fair with our DSLRs. So I guess for this post, write less and view more. ;)

Blogging in Malaysia is huge! Until the Low Yat forum now has a designated section aimed at LYN bloggers. Talk about driving a large community. ;) Anyway, a handful of LYN bloggers decided to meet up for the first time and the selected venue was Starbucks, KLCC. At the same time, it was the 2nd … Read more
P1 Website Review They recently revamped their website after our P1 open floor discussion. While the rest of the attendees left, I actually stayed behind for another 30 minutes or so to advice how they could’ve improved their website. And to my surprised, they did just that within the next few weeks. Plus, I’m going … Read more
Now here’s a company who’s really broadening their listening. Not only from their friends or bloggers, but even the members of the LowYat forum! Recently I was surprised by the fact there is now an official P1 Wimax members in the forums; Lowyat_P1W1MAX. But the coolest part, introduction wasn’t done with a normal greeting.
PacketOne (P1) Networks is offering FREE 6-months subscription to 50 LowYat members. Talk about making an entrance online. But I’m unhappy – I don’t have Wimax coverage in my area though their office is less than 15 minutes away from me. T_T
If anyone asked me to name 5 Malaysia bands, I’d probably say; Disagree, Popshuvit, Couple, Dragon Red and Butterfingers. Some of the names I know because I’ve heard it all the time repeatedly mentioned on the radio. Some I know the band members personally. :) But shy to say, I don’t know much of our … Read more
Someone once told me, “Malaysians are as kiasu (selfish) as Singaporeans”. And I can’t help but agree to it in certain situations I’ve been in. Plus, I’d like to admit personally, I myself don’t like abiding to certain limitations. One of it being; limited Internet download capacity.
However, everything happens for a reason and every action has a reaction. From my discussion with the PacketOne staff, I’ve come to understand why the fair usage policy is inserted and practiced in Internet providers – not only Malaysia. But, how much do you think our capacity should be limited?
Last week I attended the Adobe Creative Suite (CS) 4 Malaysia launch at Shangri-La hotel. If I had to describe the launch in a single phrase; it’s not only cool stuff but really great stuff. I missed the earlier part of the launch due to a business networking event. But the rest of the energetic launch definitely made up for it – especially the creative evangelists; Tim Cole, Karl Soule and Paul Burnett.
I’m not going to dwell into all 16 Adobe applications; better known as the Adobe Masters Collection, as what I want to share is my first experience coming an Adobe Malaysia launching event. So you won’t find me talking a lot about the new cool and great features. But, you’ll be learning how to make an Adobe fleece jacket reach to the other end of the hall.
During my recent visit to GreenPacket’s office for their special tour, a group of us with selected key staff from PacketOne Networks (P1, for short) had an open floor discussion. The discussion was to openly share what we thought of the Internet in Malaysia, its offerings and our expectation from P1.
The moment I heard this, I knew finally here’s a Malaysia ISP who really wants to make a difference. And if you know me well enough, this is a difference I’d support without second thoughts. Simple, because Malaysia has a large pool of talent but they’ve been mistreated, misunderstood and under appreciated. Don’t you want to put a stop to this?
