If anyone asked me to name 5 Malaysia bands, I’d probably say; Disagree, Popshuvit, Couple, Dragon Red and Butterfingers. Some of the names I know because I’ve heard it all the time repeatedly mentioned on the radio. Some I know the band members personally. :) But shy to say, I don’t know much of our local Malaysia bands.

Hai, I’m from Indonesia. I had ever come to malaysia in November 2007, I really like your country but it was true that Malaysia have not a famous local bands. I heard some name but I dont knoe if they is still exixt now. when I in Kualalumpur, I heard many song from Indonesia’s bands and I think it’s too bad. I hope next time your musician will do better so we as foreigner can enjoy your best local music
Thanks for your feedback, tatilu. Indeed, music here in Malaysia is a very tough industry. Everyone’s holding a knife at all musicians throats. Not to mention we’ve some ridiculous rulings whenever a concert is hosted here too.
