Now here’s a company who’s really broadening their listening. Not only from their friends or bloggers, but even the members of the LowYat forum! Recently I was surprised by the fact there is now an official P1 Wimax members in the forums; Lowyat_P1W1MAX. But the coolest part, introduction wasn’t done with a normal greeting.
PacketOne (P1) Networks is offering FREE 6-months subscription to 50 LowYat members. Talk about making an entrance online. But I’m unhappy – I don’t have Wimax coverage in my area though their office is less than 15 minutes away from me. T_T
Sigh. I guess all I can do is share this with readers who’re members in the LowYat forum. And according to the forum thread, successfully selected LowYat members participating in this campaign are invited to join their open floor discussion once a month.
How can you pass up an offer like this? Besides getting 6-months Wimax absofckinglutely FREE, you’ll probably get free food and drinks during the open floor discussion. Maybe I didn’t mention this, the food catering served isn’t the lousy kind. For the business owners, this’ll be a great opportunity to network with some high level staff at P1.
Anyway, I’m now wondering what other surprises are P1 going to pull. Any suggestions?
Bah… My area not under their coverage too!!
Hi Danny,
Thank you for posting about our initiative on your blog.
We have just extended some coverage in PJ areas so would you mind sending us your full address, lowyat username and contact details to [email protected] ?
Thanks and hope to hear from you soon!

Hey, thanks for the offer. But I’ve already submitted my pre-registration at the P1 booth in KLCC yesterday. :P
Mine area not under fullly coverage but the PC Fair 3 2008 Promoter said it was so i register…..after one week i return to P1WiMax Flagship Center….Bad services for the girl(Mei) and Wnagsa Maju services line from P1
Levian, I’ve heard worst stories from credit card promoters. Anyway, some of them are desperate for the commission and they may have brought this practice when they were working for others. So, can’t really blame them.
However, indeed I too hope all booth owners would’ve trained or recruited better promoters. :)
I signed up at PC Fair III too because it was to be alerted when they’ve got it in my area and all I’ll need to do is get the modem. :D
Wish they made my area accesible too……anyway of me reaching them on this request of mine? hehe I’ m on the fringe of their coverage in my area. But I subscribed to P1 anyway. Although i get disconnected sometimes, the P1 experience and speed is still better than Streamyx
Ian, your best bet lies in calling their customer service. Which reminds me, I need to ask them about my area too.
