Do You Read Your Spam Emails?

spam luncheon meatTrust me. When I heard a friend of mine said he reads his spam (junk) emails, it was only half the shock I got from him. When he told he reads them, I just kept thinking which ‘cuckoo’ user reads their junk email. For me, once it’s in there I’m done with it. Normally, I won’t bother going into the junk folder unless necessary.

But here’s the killer when I was discussing this with my friend. He said junk emails is one of the wonders of technology. Gosh! When he told me that, I only had a blank expression on my face while in my mind repeated; WTF! What the f…! WHAT THE FCK!

Set Short Term and Long Term Google Adsense Goals

Think MoneyI may not be the richest blogger in Malaysia who earns from Google Adsense, but I’m still thankful for the monetary support Google has given me. By the way, WHO IS the richest blogger in Malaysia earning from Google Adsense? Or is there none?

So anyway, I thought I’d share a thing or two of how I managed to earn a healthy income from Google Adsense. Note I said healthy…and not ludicrously rich or I earn an income as high as a senior position in a company. Well, one of the things I did and still do is set short term and long term goals for my Google Adsense earnings. As far as I can recall, I’ve always mentioned about having a blogging strategy and now, this is one of them.

Photoshop Experiment Inspired by Heroes TV Series

This was a photo originally shot with my Apple iPhone when I was out for lunch yesterday. It was basically taken inside a pretty dark toilet in a Chinese corner shop. Something about the fan with light coming into dark toilet seemed interesting. And obviously, I had already done what I had to do in the toilet-la. Eesh!

original iPhone image

The image inspired me to open up Photoshop and do a little magic. So after a little bit of Photoshop filters and some thoughts (not the toilet), I ended up with a comic-styled image in the end.

Muthafcking Blog Content Traffic Stealing Fckers

spam luncheon meatSurprise surprise. Of course I too swear at times. But only do it in the annoying instances like this one. The blog content thieves aren’t like the blatantly ‘copy and paste’ ones you generally would find. These I would call; excerpt stealers. Hence, almost the equivalent of blog traffic and content stealers.

What happens if after one of my popular posts get published, these fckers would plonk the first paragraph onto their so-called ‘blog’. As much as it looks like a blog, it’s a space for them to store any bloggers content. And you know what makes these people real muthafckers? They don’t even have that little respect to include the author’s name or blog’s name.

Malaysia iPhone X-APOP authentication support and secure connection failed

Apple iPhone interfaceThank you to everyone who’s been visiting and reading my blog – again. I’d like to personally apologize to readers who may have felt they’ve been shortchanged during my Apple iPhone in Malaysia series. It was my first time receiving a free item to review especially since it was the iPhone.

And because I now own an iPhone thanks to MAXIMiPhone, I’ll be blogging about it. But I’ll do my best to keep these posts brief and keep the iPhone topics secondary (or in emergency). This post is an emergency because after the upgrade to firmware version 1.1.2, a friend of mine who recently bought an iPhone showed me a mail problem.

Unreleased WordPress 2.5 Sneak Peek

wordpress logoOnly twelve days ago, WordPress released their version 2.3.3 update to fix an exploitation with the XMLRPC configuration. And now, I find out you can actually take WordPress version 2.5 for a spin. However, you directly install it since the files haven’t been released yet. Which is why, this is only a WordPress 2.5 sneak peek.

Thanks to Autommattic’s Chris Johnston, he’s setup a WordPress 2.5 demo…preview…sneak peek…whatever you want to call a test site for WordPress followers to crash test. Do note, I didn’t mean literally trying to crash the WordPress 2.5 test server. Login details to the WordPress 2.5 test server are after the jump.

Why Didn't Google Think of This?

google conceptGoogle Inc has been paving the way since Google Search arrived and it just got better…and better. What’s even more spectacular is Google Mail (GMail). But, why didn’t Google think about this brilliant idea; Using Adsense Income to Supplement AdWords campaigns.

This is such a brilliantly simple idea but it’s not being done at the moment. Gosh! I even tried Google-ing if anyone else has thought of it but it seemed no one has popped the question. I’m very sure someone involved in Google’s world domination plans must have thought of it.

Why Malaysia Bloggers Covered The Edison Chen Sex Scandal?

grunge sex scndalThink about it. If you were a fan of Edison Chen, Gillian Chung, Cecillia Cheung, Bobo Chan and whoever was related in this Hong Kong sex scandal, will you be blogging about it? Will you as their fan and Malaysia blogger tell the whole world about your idol’s connection to the scandal?

I’m neither their fan but thought why are Malaysia bloggers covering the whole Edison Chen sex scandal? Obviously, everyone loves a scandal but I believe it was because every Malaysia blogger wanted to be the source of the scandal itself. They all wanted to start a few good posts so other bloggers will storm their blogs – mostly, for the photos.

The Misconception of Web 2.0 Design Styles

web 2.0I just finished reading the article; How Web 2.0 Style designs disturb me. The article by Onur Oztaskiran gave me this inspiration to write a continuity to it because I once shared his same feelings. The disturbance felt by a designer that websites are beginning to look generally similar.

Basically, Web 2.0 design style derives from the elements of gradients, striped backgrounds or headers, rounded corners and glassy (glossy) objects. Today, Web 2.0 websites are built around these elements over and over and over again. Each new design crafted will have one or all of it. However, there’s a misconception towards this standard design style.
