The Website Experience

I’m still busy juggling projects but I thought that since everyone might be bored out of their mind waiting for something new, it’s best to release something even a bit less interesting to the Malaysian.

If you’ve noticed, the greater products online have been gradually catering to the experience needed by users of the website. It’s slowly pushing aside the importance of having flashy object or super high-tech backend powered into it.

Send Clients to The Firing Squad

Who says you can’t tie your client to a wooden worn out pole blindfolded and fire them? The only reason you can’t do this most of the time is due to the wrong practice and corrupt business world we live in.

There are too many designers who give in too easily to clients and there are designers who offer lower prices for sh*tty quality though the client some times is also too blur sighted to notice it.

See, I’m firing clients right now but it’s all about managing complications.

Apologize to Clients

Have you ever made yourself shrink into a corner and accidentally tick off one of your clients? Are you the good samaritan who apologizes and keep on working? Or are you the person who likes to worry about leaving a bad mark so you try to hurry and get the project done?

Well, I wouldn’t mind apologizing or forgiving because we all make mistakes in our life. If we don’t make any, then how do we learn efficiently?

Fault of Clients or Students or Greed

I was out having a drink with a new friend I made. We discuss about working life so I brought up the normal discussion of unfair pricing clients request most of the time. He gave me a reply which was really shocking and I’d have never guessed it actually.

His comment or the cause of this is by the students in college or university. The same students studying and having too much free time before any of their exams. Normally I’d hear people agreeing with me but having said it’s the students, it got me thinking from the other perspective.

When a Designer is No Longer a Designer

My apologies for all these confusing titles. It’s the best description for something short and accurate and also non-cloned. Yeah, this another article that I’ve read somewhere and it’s to reach out to all Malaysian who’d like to be in the web development field.

I was just over at We Break Stuff (cool name) and finished reading one of the articles, Between information and design. It’s something for every arrogant. ignorant and annoying people who refuse to keep up with the web and listen to people who do.

Malaysia Map Directory Website

I just stumbled across the Map.com.my website while searching for a detailed map of Cherating. Needed a map so that I don’t goof up a client’s directions later. It’s a good sign because I actually found this website via Google.

As you know, websites I normally review are either great or have a lot of problems with it. :P

Well, I’m giving this one a chance for today.

Serene Green

A very environmentally fresh looking graduated website with an overall green pasture around it. According to the introduction, Serene Green is built on the strength of college students hailing from the U.S. and Canada.

Though they’re new to me, their portfolio projects scream out loud of their experience and their taste for design. They’ve even got a secret project up their sleeves.

Oh yeah, forget to mention that they’re a website development company.

Andrew Neitlich's Twenty Marketing Tips

Marketing is really fascinating thing and the one thing I’ve started loving about it is the opportunity to try and bring out the best creative ideas. Alas below all the ideas that come flocking, there’s no point if it isn’t used now.

Andrew has a number of loyal followers (me being one of them) and his articles on Sitepoint or his website always keep me thinking and intrigue about marketing. Recently, he shared the twenty blunders he hope many aren’t making in marketing.

Operafest Children's Choir

Just when you think that some kids are supporters of evil, shrieking around in their underwear, thesse kids in Operafest are a sight that dazzles you. If you’ve not heard of them, it’s nothing surprising because they’ve never gotten enough publicity by the government and their presence was spread online enough.

Anyway, can you believe that these children are the second best children’s choir in the world. I’m not kidding. The choir group ahead of them (though hopefully not for long) is the Vienna Boys Choir.

I don’t know about you, but missing such existence of young high achievers was embarassing even when I found out.
