PPS Matures More

You read that right, Project Petaling Street (PPS) is maturing even more now. Lots of incidents have reflected back on bloggers, PPS and now Aizuddin has hatched out plans for a PPS blog and another secret project in the works.

It’s hard to guess what it is but I suppose it’s going to be something really big. He seeked 12 bloggers as ‘beta testers’ for the secret project. However, doing my weekend check on PPS just earlier had me wondering of a new panel just added above the SmartThumb ad called, Featured Blog.

Zzap! eSportAsia 2005

I gave my agents a break so I needed other means of finding something to talk about for today. As I was trying to figure out the template structure of ZenCart, one of my pals messaged me on MSN. He was mentioning that my ol coconut head is up to something.

WebSighting #5

Different agent reported in lately, agent CSSVault found out a website for the ladies. Well, when you’re a geek or person who enjoys surfing the website too much you end up trying to impress the ladies digitally. ;)

Green has been the assumed color for this year but one website begs to differ. They stuck with a strong lady like color of pink hues with some touches of purple. Sony Ericsson K750

How do you not drool over a mobile phone that has a 2.0 MegaPixel (MP) built in it? Well, yeah there’s the option of looking forward to Nokia’s new releases or Samsung’s whopping 7 MP camera phone with a huge a** lens. But if your friend was holding this phone and snapping pictures of you in it, don’t lie and say you aren’t impressed with its quality.

I’ve been eyeing this phone ever since I heard news about it. I couldn’t believe my eyes especially when I saw the results of the photos. If you’re going to tell me about 3G and how it is affordable right now, well, you go ahead and spend RM2k on the phone excluding the roughly RM60+ per month charges using it.

And of course, there’s more to this post then just a phone I want. ;)

Choosing A Business Partner

Before I went to Melbourne and while I was there, I’ve heard stories from many advising be careful of who you work with. In this case, it’s more serious because you might want to set up a company with a partner. Everyone definetely would like to own their own company some time. It’s grand to go around telling friends, “I run this company..” or “Oh, that work is by MY company..”

Well, before we even think about that. The article; The Partner Track from Entrepreneur.com would be very handy. It’s suppose to act as a benchmark and brief you on going about choosing a partner or stay solo.

Need Help With Property?

Other than having agents around, another place I visit once in awhile to find out the local happening around the Malaysian blogosphere is Malaysia Bloggers Forum.

Remember how I blogged about Niche Market and I was saying what if your niche dies? Well, here’s a niche that won’t really die because it’s a routine type of business. I’ve been quite interested in knowing more about the buy and sell property agenda ever since one of my friends spoke to me about it. It’s not exactly like the stock market per se but I feel it follows something like the same concept.

Imagine seeing how important that company or property might be worth so you plan on investing on it. However, not many know how to tackle the property business. Well, look no further because here is Property Malaysia.

Agent CSSBeauty brings in the latest report that an Irish based designer is storming the Internet now. Having chosen a memorable domain for the lasses to remember, it’s called Irishstu.com Just make sure if you’re telling someone else about it that stew is spelled ‘stu’. :)

This website is on my list of becoming what I want mine to be. See why it’s so hard to get the website out of the workshop! With all these new designs and new faces on the Internet, it’s difficult to just keep working on the website.

So what is to love about this website?

Motoblog Gone Wrong

DISCLAIMER: This post is my personal thought and not aiming any personal attacks to any party involved in it.

This post is a sequel to corporate blogging and I’d like to share one of my personal projects I was involved in. This was one of the first projects trying to incorporate blogging into the commercial arena. This project dated back to somewhere in March this year and took less than a month to be finished.

I was hired to help conceptualize, design and set up a corporate blog using MovableType. I still feel weird thinking back that we paid so much to just download a license copy so we could have more than a single blogger participating. But I guess that’s the business world when a piece of software becomes too good for its own maintenance.

The project however didn’t go as according to plan.

So what went wrong?

Corporate Blogging

The blogging milestone is soon to be upon the corporate world in Malaysia. With such a huge feature covered in the InTech section of The Star, that should probably bang some ideas into heads. It was a pretty good article written with early mention of the recent Singapore bloggers conference. So when is PPS or Malaysian blogosphere going to organize a conference? I’d like to be one of the speakers later. ROFL!

Anyway, the corporate blogging article mentioned huge players from Oracle to IBM and to supposedly small company, XiM Malaysia. If you noticed, out of all the bloggers mentioned I think the only blogger who isn’t related too much to geektopia is Wiley Chin. He runs the blog labeled, The Lab from XiMs own website. His entries derive from his latest readings to humorous bumper stickers and very little regard of his own work.

So how believing is corporate blogging?

Support Edrei

Blogger of Footsteps in The Mirror by pledging and donating to the National Cancer Society of Malaysia from the Blogathon website.

And if you’re questioning why you should be doing so? I didn’t want to take your time by presenting all the types of researched cancerous stuff or show you haunting photos but just quote what Edrei told me in MSN. I mentioned about AIDS being worst than cancer and his answer was so clear that compared to his post on his blog, this just sums it up.
