P1 Wimax Leaves The Decision To Malaysia Subscribers

p1-packetone-networksThe Malaysia wimax provider; PacketOne Networks (P1), has taken a step further to acknowledge the existence and importance of its subscribers in Malaysia. Besides organizing floor discussions with its current free subscribers from Low Yat, they’re now asking us, the Malaysia Internet subscribers (consumers, if you may), to tell them the next location of their Wimax rollout.

This is a marketing gimmick I’m loving because not only can I speed up the process of getting a wimax connection in Kelana Jaya, but I’m also getting more involved with the development of the company itself. This is what I’d like my Malaysia website design company; Simpleet, to do in future too.

In the mini site, there’s a quick demo of how to vote. As much as it’s meant to be helpful, it didn’t help me. Because of it’s neutral grey colour, I overlooked it and tried clicking on the locations instantly.

What they could do is make the hovering box green, or even a solid black. Some other way of making the tutorial stand out. Otherwise, allows users to click on the locations to select and then edit them without any fancy AJAX. Keep it simple and easy. :)

Vote for change! Bring wimax closer into Petaling Jaya. Booyah!

  1. I think P1 should concentrate to stabilize the connectivity before expanding it to other areas. Im living in Damansara Kim which they claim that the connection is covered. Out of 24 hours, i am only able to connect for 4 hours. This is really a big problem that they are facing, down time and stability issue. Furthermore, the modem has to be put at a specific place, facing out of the window. If i turn it abit, i get disconnected. More frustrating is that, the next day, that specific place i usually put, does not connect online at all… then i have to start hunting for a new location in my house.

Not sure if they’re penetrating Ipoh yet but now they’ve relied pretty much on the voting. Though how much it works only the papers can do tell.

I’ve heard a number of stories similar too. As long they keep on rectifying it with a solution, I’ve one less complaint unlike Streamyx which may constantly give excuses rather than solutions.

  3. accidentally saw this when i surfing for complaint of P1 Ximax in net

think twice before u all subscribe….
they was very excellence in the trial period
but will be totally failure after that
i make 6 calls plus write in but they just ignored me
the customer & technicion service was useless
    hopeless!

  4. Well, 6 calls isn’t as bad as TM right now. Claim restoration works is done but it’s still like a tortoise accessing the US servers. Plus, I get disconnections and no reconnections for more than 2 hours.

Anyway, I’m still going to wait for my trial to start later. :P
