What's next after the Apple iPhone in Malaysia?

Apple iPhone nesIt wasn’t long ago I started blogging about the Apple iPhone and its selling price of RM2998. And I still remember clearly my first experience of my own Apple iPhone.

Ahh, I still remember how envious Malaysia Apple iPhone fans were when I first showed them the device. But I stopped for a moment thinking what’s to come after the Apple iPhone in Malaysia. Especially now with more widespread word of the Apple iPhone coming to Asia in 2008.

Despite all the talk and walk of the Apple iPhone, the Apple iPhone reseller sales have slowed down due to the exorbitant prices now. It’s even at a point my reseller or Apple iPhone sponsor has had to temporarily pause sales due the price increase.

However, what is to become of the Apple iPhone in Malaysia? This sounds like a great concluding article to the Apple iPhone series I’ve started since I first asked; Why Malaysia is Not Talking about the iPhone?

Few of the things I wouldn’t mind seeing in Malaysia for the Apple iPhone:

  1. Aliph Jawbone bluetooth headset
  2. Designer protective cases
  3. Mobile FM tuner dock
  4. Compatible stereo speakers with wireless headset
  5. Apple iPhone merchandise (t-shirts and etc)
  6. Laser etching

Okie, may be some of the wants are already available but it’s always difficult getting good quality Apple products here in Malaysia. Many Apple users wouldn’t mind paying a little more for a product which matches the quality of the Apple iPhone. I’d normally think if I’m already spending RM2000+ on an Apple iPhone then what’s another RM100-200 in spending on an accessory I’d want.

Well, until the Apple iPhone officially launches in Asia we Apple iPhone users in Malaysia still have to shop at the Low Yat forum or other online websites for our ‘needs’.

And just wondering; what was the last accessory you bought for your Apple iPhone?

  1. Well, I’d call the Touch an ‘el-cheapo’ version of the iPhone. Unless they wanna prove me wrong by giving me one. *hint hint* :P

  2. Yup, I’ve heard of Bold. Though it’s not a lifestyle device. I’d say it’s more in the category of business. :)

Which is why I’ve told others if they want to edit or work on the go using their mobile, have a look at the Blackberry.

Hmm, I wonder if I can get someone to sponsor me one to tryout. LOL!
