Lost Your iPod?
Then head on over to LostiPods.com and check out if anyone did manage to find your iPod. When all is lost, and like many iPod users who love their baby so much, they’d almost do anything to try and get it back. I could understand if it were mine because I just can’t imagine living with a sad memory of losing an RM1k product. T_T
Anyway, makers of this website did come up with something useful to be put on the web with all the hype of the iPod. On the other hand, I feel this kind of website might also die within a year because chances of recovering an iPod will be like, 1:Billion++. This is according to my calculations through human behaviour, you could ask yourself, would you return back a an iPod if you found one?
No point lying because humans are never perfect.
What Is A Blog?
Definition of Blog from Google:
However, if you read the information provided by the online encyclopedia; Wikipedia, HERE. You will notice that a blog isn’t anymore a plain journal. Now they’ve evolve into more focused content, creating groups of special interest and becoming stand alone portals of information on their own.
My friends, my blog is my journal. A place where I can clear my mind and this blog is my imaginary friend. My dear readers who so happen read my blog are my additional imaginary friends. Though my comment function is of no use, I’m still glad that I have this blog to clear out my thoughts once in awhile. If all that was kept since I started blogging in my mind, I’d be a walking spaced out raccoon right now.
For that, I thank the Internet and I thank everyone who has shared my thoughts with me. Cheers.
Dangers Of The..
New window! *jeng jeng jeng* Well, we all know that it’s a headache sometimes having click a link and it just bursts opens a new window. I’m also having that habit of always making people go elsewhere when they click on my links. However, I’ve evolved from that habit into somewhat more rationale. I only use the target=”_blank” attribute if I’m posting 2 links in a single post. That way, my visitor can choose either one of the links to open first while the original links are in my post. Hope you got that.. :\
In terms of accessibility and usability, it’s definetely wrong to use new windows without giving a warning. An article at the SitePoint website put me back on track with some solutions, read about it HERE. I’ll start implementation of these practices now to stay on track for the better now onwards.
Has Your Website Been Pirated?
Yes, dear friends, you can head over HERE and check to see if your website has been pirated. Well, unlike pirating copies of movies/software that entirely holds the exact contents, these websites pirate the original designs and text formatting for their own use. Worst bit is they claim the whole thing to be done by them. *tsk tsk tsk*
Someone asked in the LowYat forums; how does a person know if he/she is considered pirating a website? Well, I think only using the layout (not template) and inserting your own images is what will consider not pirating. I don’t think anyone should be held wrong for using the same text formats and linkage names unless they bare a uniqueness.
The reason many do not experiment in layout over the web is because we don’t want to takeaway visitors from the area they’re already comfortable. Using an experimental layout would require them to learn the usage of a website all over again, hence taking more of their time and creating a risk of losing a visitor. Well, that be all on this.
