Has Your Website Been Pirated?

Yes, dear friends, you can head over HERE and check to see if your website has been pirated. Well, unlike pirating copies of movies/software that entirely holds the exact contents, these websites pirate the original designs and text formatting for their own use. Worst bit is they claim the whole thing to be done by them. *tsk tsk tsk*

Someone asked in the LowYat forums; how does a person know if he/she is considered pirating a website? Well, I think only using the layout (not template) and inserting your own images is what will consider not pirating. I don’t think anyone should be held wrong for using the same text formats and linkage names unless they bare a uniqueness.

The reason many do not experiment in layout over the web is because we don’t want to takeaway visitors from the area they’re already comfortable. Using an experimental layout would require them to learn the usage of a website all over again, hence taking more of their time and creating a risk of losing a visitor. Well, that be all on this.
