As much as hate mail generally symbolizes someone out there hating you, there are advantages and disadvantages of receiving hate mail. The great advantages or benefits you could say is that there’s someone who’s taken an interest to what you do. The other huge benefit that some hate mail give you is the excuse to break away from work awhile and have a relieving laugh.
The disadvantages of hate mail is knowing that someone really hates you. I don’t like people hating me, especially when there’s no real reason to it. The other thing about hate mail is that the writers don’t give you a chance to reply to them personally and because of that you’ll have to try and communicate with them by other means.
So is this hate mail an advantage or disadvantage?
I think ur design is so amateur. U be freelancer coz no one wanna take u to work for them. hahhahah… coz ur design sucks. like no designer will use a brown colour for layout unless if u promoting sh*t! hahahha… What r u trying to prove here? that u r a good designer? f*ck!, i think u need to learn more. F*ck ur self if u call ur self a web consultant. I was wondering, how can u consult ur client with ur sucky designs? NO one put address on top right corner of a websites!!! stupid *ss! i dare to take ur challenge anytime man. hahahhaha… and that vector tracing avatar in lowyat, is so sucky!! so flat and looks like u have no face!! f*ck u! i hate ur designs and i think u dont have what it takes to be a designer! I think u better sell ur pubic hair! hahhahahahahhah u r so sucks! ur design sucks!! i think u need to learn a basic design principle! hahhahahha!!! and i repeat again! i can take ur challenge anytime! get me? ANYTIME! LOSER!
I actually managed to spot a few advantages or positive notes to this mail. It seems he noticed that I’m a designer who’s got a portfolio done in brown and that I also provide consulting services to my clients. It’s great news that he even noticed I have clients.
The disadvantage is that I’ve no idea who is he but he’s a member of Low Yat forums. The other disadvantage is that as much as he marketed a challenge to me, his email address that was use in conjunction with his hate mail isn’t an authentic one.
So how do we reply to hate mail? Well, if there isn’t an authentic email for you to reply then how do you manage your customer or hater relationship?
Therefore I’ve come up with the best advice for managing hate mails, unless the writer provides you an authentic email address and is able to deliver a hate mail that you can understand then should you decide to reply the hate mail or not.
Any other ideas to how would you handle your hate mail? :)
I’ll just ignore them. Why should we worry about cowards who don’t dare to authenticate themselves?
Yeah. I don’t deal with trash.
Just ignore him.
what comes around goes around. i guess he is a freelancer too, but with no clients :P
This is not a hate mail, but merely a mail from a coward.
Very much a coward, not challenging at all, isn’t it, Danny? :p
Well, I wouldn’t say it doesn’t challenge me but I do feel more entertained. I think I’ll keep this email aside in case I need something to lift my spirits from time to time. :)
I would suggest becoming emo and depressed, you know, “Oh woe befall the world, I am such an immature person!” not unlike the writer of the hatemail, but then again you’d be stooping to his levels.
So let’s just set his message aside and forget about it, heheheh.
