The event coverage is finally up. If you’d like to view the full list of attendants (though it looks less), visit the AllMalaysian Bloggers Project (AMBP) Starbucks Gathering events page. Thanks, Michael.
TheStar and the AllMalaysian Bloggers Project (AMBP) group recently organized a small bloggers gathering for the bloggers of Selangor and Kuala Lumpur. It was hosted by Starbucks in the brand new; The Gardens, Midvalley. A quick note though is this isn’t the Starbucks in Borders. This outlet is the one next to the walkover from the old Midvalley to The Gardens.
There wasn’t any real agenda to the gathering unlike the Malaysia Bloggers Buff 2007 forum I attended. This was really a gathering of the great minds to let free their pressures and catch up with other bloggers. Okay, that was exaggerated.
The event was scheduled from 10:00AM to 3:00PM. But from what I heard, it ended at 1:00PM. I wasn’t there up until the end as it was a busy weekend for me. And I’m so disappointed having to miss the groupie photo. *cry*
On that very Saturday (January 12, 2008), while I was suppose to be letting go with other bloggers, meeting new faces, new ladies and old buddies I had to:
- Sell a Space Invaders t-shirt to someone.
- Consult a potential client at Starbucks.
- Leave for a lunch date.
Anyway, I would really like to share some link love with all the bloggers who attended but unfortunately I don’t have the list and I can’t find the list. Yes, the list that Michael A. Fredericks promised me! Where are you, Michael! :P
These are the ones I remembered (or heard people mentioning):
Brian (Goldfries)
James (Himitsu)
JayHan (Jayhan Loves Design & Japan)
Albert (Glaring Notebook Cubed)
Peter (The Digital Awakening)
Sashi (Sashi-isms)
Suanie (As Suanie Sees It)
Jason (Smashpop)
MenJ (MenJ)
Louis (EarningBlog)
Jeff (Otoreview)
K-Pop Sisters (K-Popped)
Yvonne (Yvonne Foong)
There were about 50 bloggers who attended. So as you can see this is like only a partial list. And just to give you an idea of the numbers, here’s a photo by smashpop.

Thank you to TheStar and AMBP for organizing this event. I really wished to have been in the group photo. Maybe I’ll Photoshop myself near the tree or somewhere. Great to see all the bloggers and hope to see you guys again. :)

I wish I could be there but unfortunately I was running 2 “shows” on that day – the legal career fair and the asian law students international conference.
Too bad. Hope to meet up with you in person 1 day.
Wow, you’re a very busy man. Well, as the old ones say it – if you’re busy, business is good. LOL!
And I too, hope to meet you some day. :)
