Thanks to All-Malaysian Bloggers Project (AMBP), Cinema Online and Microsoft Malaysia for making the second blogger gathering a success at Outpost, Cineleisure Damansara.
The event started with the bloggers registration whether they were invited by The Star (AMBP) or others. And again, Star Jobs had a mini booth setup for bloggers who haven’t given up their day jobs just yet. The crowd was as good if not better than the last gathering held at Starbucks, Gardens Midvalley.
This time we had speakers like Peter Tan, Kimberlycun, Aizuddin Danian (PPS Founder), Chin Vin Sen (Cinema Online) and Rohan Thomas (Microsoft Malaysia). But enough talk, here’s an image to summarize what went down at the gathering. Click on it for a larger version.
Yes, that’s KY looking evil after winning a prize in the Q & A session. All questions should be directed to him of his intentions. LOL!
Overall, I enjoyed the gathering but I felt it lacked an ice-breaker at the beginning. Without an introduction game, bloggers tend to huddle with their groupies and leave only the strong to walk up and introduce themselves to the group. I know what it feels like and I still feel it. Especially when you have a groupie armed with cameras and they’re snapping away themselves while chatting.
Anyway Michael (AMBP Editor) said, they’re still new and learning. Well, I hope to see AMBP continue to become another supporter of bloggers in Malaysia. Most likely will work with you guys on something coming up.
p.s: I’ve Sashi’s photo so if anyone needs to blackmail him, let me know. *grin*

o.o you were there!
You were there, and I didn’t know. Proves I’m still not well “networked”. Lol. Glad to know you had fun as well. :)
Well, if you saw a guy crawling behind during Peter Tan’s speech…that was me. LOL! Needed to get a better angle for shooting Peter. :)
Next time, just walk up to me and introduce yourself. No harm done.
p.s: For anyone who reads this, Joyce is actually a guy. Don’t believe me? Go visit his blog. LOL!
Danny, I like the angle of the photo you took of me. Many people take photos of wheelchair users from a standing up angle. That makes the perspective somewhat unnatural.
Anyway, the event was great and yes, we should have an ice breaker to allow the participants to get to know each other. Kudos to the AMBP team for making this second gathering even better than the first.
Hey Peter, I actually have one photo as though you were rapping. And thanks for pointing the angle out coz I was thinking if I needed to snap a shot with you sitting in it. However, your comment has made me realize some people don’t want to be reminded of their disabilities.
It is all right to take photos of disability. Multimedia artist Victor Chin did two series on that subject. It is the angle actually. The perspective of a subject in sitting down position taken from a standing up height is sometimes unflattering. Maybe that is just my point of view. Maybe I am fussy. Maybe I am just too vain. Haha. It is just a passing comment. Don’t take it too seriously.
woooow thats coool
i should of been there
next time pls inform us in advance
