This is the continuation of Part 1 of my PC Fair II 2008 photo log. In total I’ve selected 35 pictures I took at the fair and without further due, next teaser.
First of I’d like to thank the guy at the booth selling Samsung laser printers for helping me snap the crowded pathway you see in the last 2 photos. The pathway there was jammed with people until nobody could move and the KLCC officials were forced to divert exiting people to an alternative route. Reason of it being jammed up is because there were more booths in the pathway now and consumers were moving back and forth from the second last and last hall. Hence, the human jam.
The most ironic thing during my visit was I was snapping a Sony Alpha promoter with my Canon camera. LOL! Nonetheless, thanks a bundle to her for allowing me to snap away. And I’ve already bought my 2.5″ 320GB hard disk. Now I’ve to buy my 2.5″ Vantec external enclosure with SATA support. sw33t!

Computer war was selling it for 284. However, I’ve found out my Vantec enclosure may not have enough juice to power the device on its own via front PC USB ports. :(

What about their Passport?
Yup, it was a Western D. Scorpio model.
They had a promotion going on for their Passports. I threw the flyer away already but I think it was approximately RM329-350 for a 320GB. This model is the one with numerous funky colours.
I think you need to connect 2 USB ports to the Vantec for power supply.
Yeah, I did. But still not enough power. Only way I’m powering it now is if it’s plugged behind. That’s using 1 USB port only. :)
But a bit tedious.

What’s the warranty like? Will get a Western D unit in Penang’s PC Fair as well…looking forward to the booth babes & hunks as well…could you do a part 3 for the female readers out there? Booth hunks that is if you have more of them…only see 1 here.

If I’m not mistaken 1 year from WD. As for the booth hunks, I didn’t really see many in KL. Though the Lenovo guy was alright. Hmm, I guess I’ll have to document the guys next time as well. Though they might feel weird. ROFL!

The best thing way I could think of is to get a longer USB cable so you don’t have to plug from behind often.

Hmm, true that. But nevermind-la, I’m rarely transporting this around at the moment. Now it’s just plugged behind without me removing it most of the time. Unless I want go curi some of my friend’s stuff when I have to. :P
