Would You Prefer a Tissue or Handkerchief?

Bear with me as this metaphor hit me in the washroom. So you have been warned.

I was thinking how a tissue and handkerchief could be related to us and customer relationship management. Every one would love to have repeated clients or clients helping refer other friends of theirs to us. So what we’re going to do now is imagine ourselves as a tissue or a handkerchief (hanky).

Let’s say when a client cries (sneezing and coughing is too gastly) they’ll be needing the assistance of either the tissue or the hanky. It’s convenient services always being around is an importance to any working person. After all, you don’t want to be found walking around with eyes almost able to fill swimming pools.

However, if we were the tissue helping the clients then we’d have a very short relationship. After helping absorb the sadness and providing the solution to teary eyes, we’d be dumped or thrown away into somewhere the client wouldn’t even remember. Worst of all if our company of employees were the box of tissues and all of it were used up exhaustively, the box would be teared up and placed in the rubbish.

The hanky on the other hand is a hero in a person’s pocket. Because it’s made of cloth, after being all wet it could still be put up to dry. As a hanky, we’re even ataken care by the client who appreaciate us. Rarely do we find hankies thrown away just like that unless it’s been harshly treated or it has become too old.

The maintaining customer relationship management we have with our clients after we provide the needed solutions exist in the placement of a dry hanky in their pockets, sharing of our services when needed, washing of the hanky (repeated value we are appreciated for), close bond or relationship we have with them (being always in their pocket) and if the hanky became a piece of memory for the client..never would it be discarded.

So would you prefer being a piece of tissue or a hankerchief?
