PC Fair II 2009 Promoters Part 2
This is the second part of my coverage during the recent PC Fair (II) 2009 held in KL Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur. If you’re arriving here without having read Part 1 then I’ll quickly say this again. The first hall was occupied by local/international online game publishers and it was a fresh introduction which I liked this PC Fair.
But moving on, here are the photos I took of promoters on the ground floor and spent most of my time at the AVIRA antivirus booth. Because they had an elevated stage with 4 nurse promoters continuously posing for photographers.
Here’s a shot of the many photographers stopping at the AVIRA booth to snap the pictures of the ladies on stage. A friend I went with; Jonathan, was saying mini skirts and an elevated stage would be rather challenging especially when some photographers took from a lower angle.

I’d say 80% of the people stopping even without DSLRs and whipping out their camera phones were guys. But I guess that’s the main category of consumers to the PC Fair.
Well, I’m looking forward to the next PC Fair for more photos and saying “hello” to the promoters whom I’ve met this PC Fair.

I purchased an Apple Iphone 3G (16GB) form your local distributer in Malaysia (Maxis) on the 26th of June 2009 and they launched the new Iphone 3G S on the 15th July 2009 only days after my purchase at a cheeper price. When I purchased my Iphone 3G, I did ask if the new model was going to be launched as it is already out in the US. The reply was no, the earliest they were to be launched in Malaysia was going to be end of 2009 or early 2010. My question is, why is Apple cheating customers’ by not telling them the truth? Is it because they are trying to maximize profit by getting rid of old stock at a higher price? I am sure Apple and Maxis knew of the launch, but Maxis is claiming to have not been informed by Apple, and Apple is cheating customers. Is this an ethical business practice of a reputable organization like Apple? Is this how they treat customers? Apple and Maxis cheats customers!!!
I don’t believe Apple is to be blamed, Raja. If you followed or read about how the Apple iPhone was already getting an upgrade during the last conference, you could tell Maxis was going to make a wrong move and there’ll be customers feeling the “cheated” emotion.
From your complaint, I’d say a Maxis staff or salesperson is the one who told you the iPhone 3GS won’t be launched and arrive in Malaysia till the mentioned date – not Apple.
Anyway, your best bet now is to write a complaint in to them. But many thanks for sharing your opinion of your purchase experience of an iPhone 3G.
Wah, so many lenglui… I like them all!
ROFL! When you gonna go with me and shoot?
