Isn’t a house number but a website number. Alright, that might’ve sounded a little wrong but it still is a great website. It houses a designer’s weblog and portfolio like the many already out there. However, many of you should know I like plugging websites that have intrigued me. ![]()
This one is as stunningly simple and clean like any other. Its blue and black theme has made me envy that it just had to bring peace to my mind. Though for content holding, I don’t really agree with the layout. What do you think?
Visit 72SEVENTYTWO // Design to serve its purpose, HERE.
Weblog CMS
Choices for the people out there. Now, everyone knows of MovableType and Wordpress. I’m not sure if many do know about b2evolution, Symphony21 and the latest to my list, Nucleus CMS. I found another blogger from Stanch.net using this piece of CMS.
I visited the Nucleus website and had a go at the screenshots as well as the demo. Not too bad I’d say. Instead of looking like Blogger, it reminded me abit like MT for some reason. Anyway, I’m not sure about the installation process and its ease as I didn’t download a copy.
But I can tell you from the screenshots, it looks simple to use and also their community must be quite good as they’re list of plugins are slowly growing and improving. Anyone care to give it a try? *grin*
CGTalk
Is where brilliant minds of the digital age come together and unite to form one of the biggest communities the world has noticed. Visualized by a single person residing in Singapore, he, with some digital artist knights had formed a union and created the CG-Plan. They’ve come a long way from just a forum for the digital artists of today to CGChannel, CGNetworks, CGWorkshops, CGProShops and also the main distributor for Ballistic Publishing. Known to many from such titles as Expose.
However, though with already so many domains under their main name, they’ve yet to stop astonish and provide digital artist with something even better. They give you, CGSociety. An annually paid membership type of website that houses many tools and content that only paid members can access. If you’d like to learn more, head HERE.
Know what’s even more surprising, they’ve still got 4 more CG-Plans up their sleeve. ![]()
3 Interesting Websites
That have tingled my design senses. Each hold their own as I slowly introduce one of em at a time.
First up, we have the Aardvark website. Firefox users might already be familiar with this extension but for those who don’t know it, it’s a tool for the web developer/designer. It’s not essential but awesomely cool. Check out the demo, HERE.
Next in line, we have a freelance designers website. His name is Andrew Jabs and he runs a multimedia company called Minefield. He’s got quite an impressive portfolio and it looks like all of it were designed for CSS. Just gotta love this stuff. Anyway, his website is clean and it sure looks good.
Check it out, HERE.
And lastly in this entry, we have a Japanese/Business student’s weblog and portfolio website. He’s studying in Liverpool and why did I choose his website is mainly because of the name. It’s called 36 Degrees Design and I just found it somewhat weird cause like more companies have numbers in them now. There’s 37signals, 21symphony and now 36 Degrees. Anyway, you can still have a look at this website, HERE.
dF minifolio
Or it’s my mini portfolio. Anyway, I’ve always been babbling to people that I don’t have a portfolio yet so I came up with this temporary one. It houses few of my best works that I’ve done so far. Ranges from website designs to even T-shirt design. Take a visit, HERE. ![]()
