Wasn’t documented on the MT website. Because now the plugin comes together with this version, they forgot to mention something as important as this:
For Movable Type 3.x, upon proper installation, you will see a new “Nofollow” plugin listed on the Main Menu of your Movable Type installation.
Note that if you are upgrading from the first release of this plugin, you should remove the old version first to avoid having two copies installed that may conflict with one another.
I believe this was a very important thing that they forgot to mention. If you do not set the permissions correctly, it’ll give you an Internal Server Error later.
Cheers.
p/s: The ShoutMix shoutbox will be down for awhile because of the server load the author is going through, they’re being investigated for resource abuses under their host. Major bummer not only cause he’s my friend but for a service like this that he has done, it’s made many smiles with his shoutbox. Hope everything gets back on track, Snecx. Best of luck.
Ah, that’s a great point. We’re used to FTP clients that preserve the permissions of the original file, so most people won’t have this problem, but for those who do, that’s major. I’ll mention it on the site on my next update.
Thanks for the feedback!
You’re welcome. Oh yeah, I’ve enabled Trackback for this post too.
Thank you for MT-Blacklist. :)
