WebSighting #9

Good ol’ agent CSSBeauty recently delivered another astounding report. With the weekend only few hours away, we’re going to switch back into fun mode and enjoy this later sighting. Even its name just sounds fun.

Everyone, let’s give a big great hello to..*kuchi-kuchi-koo*..oops, let me rephrase that. Let us all applaud these Swiss designers from Designchuchi.

I actually just found out that .ch Top Level Domains (TLDs) are from Switzerland. Anyway, let’s have some fun.

These cheerful group of employees have come up with a messy yet fun website. It’s assumed that a designer is always messy and on their tables you’ll find scrap papers, stationary laying around and chuchi’s case, vegetables.

I really like the whole theme that’s going for it especially when it’s been accomplished via CSS. However, I do have a problem with the News located on the far right because it’s in a dull color and I guess it’s to say that no one wants to know all that boring stuff.

Their designerware is bling-ing, literally. They’ve got some pretty nifty designs though I don’t think I’d want to wear briefs with a face imprinted on it.

Anyway, though their website looks really messy, the content is kept clean and simple for the digestion of its visitors. It’s clear and crisp header text though aren’t the accomplishment of sIFR and instead use background images. It isn’t exactly healthy but I suppose with a good server and small file size, who’s to complain.

They’ve got quite a portfolio to showcase and I admire their ability to still maintain futuristic techno type themes. The last time tech themes were in was around the year 2001-2002 I think. At that time it was all sharp edges with refective type surfaces along with Mac styles shiny orbs.

Designchuchi overall is a great portfolio website put together by the many fine ‘chefs’ as they say, own it. There’s always space for some messy fun with a touch of vegetables there.
