I was invited to join the Malaysia Blog website and was expecting something different from what’s already existing today. But even on the first visit, I was disappointed with not only the lack of interest in providing it a website design but the goal of its existence too.
It took a scroll down to finally give me the message that this website is one of those blog ranking or website ranking networks. The ranking system is made by averaging the views or visits to your website/blog that is being tracked by Malaysia Blog and also the rating you might get from supporters.
I suppose the one good thing about the website is that it helps you track stats like Unique Page Views and the Unique Visitors Entrance/Exit. It’s not Google Analytics but it does a simple job of allowing to at least get that much information.
Remember when I said this service is very disappointing because it lacks a goal to its existence? Well, if you scoured through the website you’ll find not much information about it except the very very basic necessities.
The rest of the links like the Forum, Online Game and Adders War shouldn’t be there because it’s creating a big mix up in terms of impression to its service.
So the best advice I think I’d like to give the Malaysia Blog team is that please get the priority of your service right and concentrate on it. Oh yeah, please get a better website design for the sakeof those wearing glasses especially.
I agree. This is a gateway voting system.
Thing is that these kind of systems are unfair, because the popular ones go up there and ALWAYS stay up there. Meanwhile the links populating the bottom of list remain stagnant.
Most people don’t bother to go-down and click whatever link’s are down there. What was the word? Oh yeah… no “reader power”. I think that was what it was called.
I got that invite too, but chose not to join because of the way the invitation was written – mass-emailed, and with very bad english.
and I went to the site, and didn’t really think too much about either….
Danny, how about Planet Malaysia review? since you already in.
The bti that ticks me off the most is that there isn’t any real sign of priority to the website. What relation has the forum and the others got to do with Malaysia Blog.
I’ll get on Planet My in the next review. :)
