The sixth annual weblog awards or ‘bloggies’ results are out and I just found out about it. *gasp*
There were some new names (to me they are) and there were familiar ones from the long list of categories. I don’t remember the bloggies having these many categories the last time but it’s sure nice to see versatile type of blogs being appreciated for their efforts.
The names that I know had won awards in their respective categories are:
Best Web Application for Weblogs
Blogger.com
Best Tagline of a Weblog & Best-Designed Weblog
Joshuaink.com
Best Web Development Weblog
Darren Rowse’s Problogger.net
Best Computers or Technology Weblog
Slashdot.org
Best Group Weblog & Lifetime Achievement
Boing Boing
And the Weblog of The Year award goes to.. *drum roll*
Congratulations to all the winners and wear that ribbon high. It’s funny hearing that Problogger is called the best web development weblog because when I think it it brings to mind things like HTML, CSS and those stuff. Oh well, I suppose it meant web development in general and Darren’s earned it by my count.
Anyway, Joshua has definetely earned best weblog design especially when news about it spread like wildfire during the first release. Simply astounding stuff.
