It doesn’t take so many signals for a guy to turn on or persuade a lady. However, for Lisa McMillan she had fallen head over heels completely for the 37Signals.
If you’re still thinking that this is some tip to getting laid or getting a woman in your arms, sorry to drop your expectations entirely. Lisa is an established Canadian web designer and developer who also recently rebooted her website into CSS this year. And I dare say, she’s really intwined with her standards compliancy along with her CSS knowledge.
You just have to admire the list style applied. *drool*
Anyway, Lisa recently posted 37signals knows how to turn a girl on and as sexy a post as it sounds, she poured out her love for the revolutionary company because of the right tools hints they dropped at her.
I’m telling you, 37Signals not only is the role model for anyone who believes complex design could be sacrificed for a more usable website but they are just the company who’ve taken the risk of creating websites that are simpler than simple.
Now Lisa arms herself with 3 ‘must have’ tools for her profession, Basecamp + Backpack + Blinksale.
If you didn’t know what are these services, you’d better know them from now on.
Basecamp
From small and big businesses managing their client and internal projects, to professors managing their classrooms, to individuals managing their home improvement projects (and weddings), everyone is using Basecamp to keep whatever it is they’re working on organized and on track.
Backpack
Backpack is Basecamp’s little brother. Backpack is better suited for personal or smaller projects while Basecamp is better suited for business or larger projects. Try both and see which one suits you best (or use both like we do)!
Blinksale
Blinksale is perfect for anyone who needs to invoice customers and clients for services or products sold. As a design company, we created Blinksale with professional service industries in mind. Basically, if you need to send invoices, Blinksale can work for you.
With these 3 tools, probably you might be able to make more client heads turn you way. However, be advised that some 37Signals services have premium accounts while the Blinksale accounts are only paid ones.
But as Lisa mentioned at the end of her post,
I can run my business with ease and a general sense of small business calm. Rare in my world.
So give any of the 3 tools services a spin and you might attract a hottie designer/developer later. ;)
Man, that’s the longest stylesheet I’ve seen. Worthy of study. I’m saving a copy to tweak around.
Hi Danny,
I’ve noticed your design trend entries are good reads. Appreciate the trawling work.
Definitely worth stalking. Good job, bro. Keep blogging.
Thanks Wiley and really appreciate you dropping by. :)
I’ll be trying my best to keep on blogging along.
