I’m overwhelmed with website work at the moment. As a friend of mine would say – I’m up to ‘here’ now, raising his hand above his head. As much as I want to commit to my blogging schedule, my clients are not letting me of that easily at the moment.
However, judging by the projects and their timeline I might survive this until end of the month. And as usual, the business saying goes “if you’re busy, business is good”. Well, if I were that busy – I’d have a patch of grey hair too. Thankfully, this is just enough for me and my partner.
Nonetheless, I want to share if you’re experienced and passionate in these fields:
- Website design (NOT graphic design)
- Flash design with Actionscript
- PHP developer
Me and my partner at Simpleet Solutions could use a helping hand once in awhile. So if you’re interested, we’ll not only want to look at your portfolio but interview you in person if possible. Simpleet Solutions is a Malaysia web design company with experienced individuals in specifc fields.
Do you love your work enough to work more its love?
p.s: Sorry I’m taking a little long with the meme, Aisyah.
Hah!
If I read this properly and understand it right, you are looking for new employees for your firm?
Either on contract basis or permanent staff?
I think probably go by contract better, right? :D
Do you love your work enough to work more its love?
I am a Quantity Surveying Graduate.
Worked as a Quantity Surveyor in a Quantity Surveying Consultant Firm for 1 year 2 months. Got real fed up with being a Quantity Surveyor by then.
No, I don’t love Quantity Surveying at all.
if you’re in need for a freelance web designer to pass down some projects, supposed i can appply, can i ?
and hey, are you going to wsmy 2008 ? It was postponed till next month.
Deimos:
It’ll be more like freelance or contract basis – sounds better. LOL!
p.s: Then go be a full-time blogger. :P
Ikram:
Yes, you can. We could meet up over a drink and discuss about your work as well as what you prefer doing. :)
As for WSMY, I’m most likely attending. Just need them to confirm the details.
I can so relate to being overworked. Man, it’s not funny. Especially when you encounter clients who don’t want you to ‘waste time’ on browser testing yet grumble later about how their site doesn’t work in IE properly. Bah! Anyway, good to see that you’ve got business going. =)
Ari asked me to take over the WSMY meet up…I was thinking; are you guys cool with a venue like Palate Palette?
oh, it’s good to hear that your business is going good.
and, ah, don’t worry about the meme, take your time. II won’t kill you, I understand. :)
please.. not palate palatte again..
c’mon la.. i’m getting frustated with these kind of locations..
there’s nothing there.. and its like in the middle of nowhere.. and what, at a small back alley behind some bigshot hotel and besides this mamak restaurant and this unfinished buildings..
why dont you consider places that are noticeable, say like the starbucks (though i’m not really that fond to starbuck) at berjaya times square, or in any other shopping complexes buildings.
@ikram
Sure! I’ll think of some better venues, then. Meanwhile, if you have any recommendations, just reply to the Facebook thread, aite?
Suffian:
I like your toilet roll doll. I should probably buy putty or something. :P
Aisyah:
*hugz* :)
Ikram & Suffian:
Urm, I don’t know where is that and I don’t like KL especially Fridays and weekends – the nights. If it’s in the daytime, all I’ll need is a map plus a friendly car park space.
Anyway, we shall all discuss in the Facebook thread as mentioned.
Sorry Danny, but I just recommended a friend to you. (Which means, a +1 to your workload) haha.
I think I’m missing the WSMY gathering…. could provide any details? :P
to James, http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=10118496611 – They don’t post it up (*yet) on their website.
James:
I think he already emailed and called me on the same day. ROFL! Anyway, it’s all good and many thanks for your referral. :)
Ikram:
That reminds me, I need to see what’s going on now with the event. LOL!
Hi Danny, maybe can consider increasing prices? Get fewer jobs, but more money :)
That’s an idea. But I think we’d have to target a different segment if we did that already. Plus, we’re quite happy with the segment we’re targeting now.
At least, we have smarter clients now. :D
hi danny,
i love simple web design, the problem is my english not fluent..
Well, like Chinese…English is also a main language. If you can master both, you’ll get far in the world today with the huge advancement of China.
So I guess we all learn from somewhere.
if you’re in need of a freelance web designer or flash designer to take off some of your burden…just drop me a mail eh…hunting around for more moolah for my 70-200 lens
Thanks for the help, Earthkid. However, please email me to schedule an appointment.
All Simpleet outsource members are screened before given any projects. So I hope to hear from you if you’re still interested. :)
Looks like business veli good ler!
Kitkat:
It’s alright-la. The sudden influx of projects is a good sign of business but we want it not to affect the quality of work churned out later. :)
Chinese market is not really easy to be dominated. believe me.
Err, I don’t recall mentioning domination of the Chinese market. LOL! But yeah, can imagine it’s really tough there with much lower rates and higher competition.
