How a Blog Can Improve Online Sales Leads?

I’ve always said the power of corporate blogging is an influential tool not only to move trends and markets but to improve your online sales or online sales leads. Surprisingly, I even found myself writing why a blog can boost business sales earlier this year.

Many are still afraid of how a blog is a double-edged sword to their business. When in fact, it all depends on which end you sharpen often. Is it the edge that gives you the increase in sales leads and conversions, or the end of being arrogant and not listening to what your commenters have to say about the product or service. With the proper blogging strategy, you’ll reap more than you can sow I tell you.

I’ve to say thanks once again to the Apple iPhone in Malaysia series brought to you by MAXIMiPhone. The Apple iPhone in Malaysia series I’ve been running is now a valuable case study I’d like to share with you now.

But first, how do you track online sales leads or what do I consider online sales leads?

An online sales lead can be as simple as getting users to click a link to the designated website or webpage. It’s the same as word-of-mouth marketing. A friend can put in a good word for you but you’re still on your own to close the sale. On the other hand, if you wanted to help your friend convert sales then you’re going to have to do more than just lead users to the website. You need the users to feel like they have to contact your friend for that bargain or deal.

My blogging strategy for the Apple iPhone in Malaysia initially has been to generate online sales leads to iPhonesUnlocked. And since I started with my Apple iPhone in Malaysia, I’ve generated on average 6.8 interested Apple iPhone buyers to them. The number I calculated was only the duration from November 10 – November 17, 2007. I started my first day with the Apple iPhone in Malaysia on October 2, 2007.

And let me clarify, my Apple iPhone reseller didn’t intended me to drive online sales to him so to speak. His aim was to create the awareness of the Apple iPhone in Malaysia first. That said, besides using a blog to improve online sales leads it’s also a powerful marketing awareness tool. The one thing I haven’t seen in blog marketing is using the blog for guerilla marketing. What’s guerilla marketing? Let’s just say it’s a very direct and aggressive approach.

This case study is literal proof blog marketing works in Malaysia. If the directors or marketing managers are still worried about the edges of the sword, forget it. However, if you’re keen to implement a blog marketing strategy into your Malaysia businesscontact me or contact Simpleet.
