The response to this new blog theme was really mixed. Some liked how the new wordpress theme still maintained it’s clean layout while some found it too plain. To be honest, I was captured by the first time I saw the Whitespace wordpress theme because of its simplicity.
To those who know me and my web design style, I’d prefer things simple any day. After all, Albert Einstein once said…
Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not one bit simpler.
Now, I’m no Einstein but I did visualize how the Whitespace wordpress theme would affect this blog’s experience. It’s simple lines and whitespace drove me to believe this layout was right for the amount of content I produce most of the time. If I’m not mistaken, my entries average around 100 words (or more) per entry. Also, because I wanted to focus a little more on advertising I thought this layout would have the balance I’ll need.
However, I guess what a friend of mine shared with me is true. He said, “Giorgio Armani only designs for a specific market and doesn’t design for others like Tesco or Giant.” With good reasons, now I understand what he really meant here.
Though the whitespace wordpress theme might cater to those who supported it, there are others who have found the layout making this blog even more ‘messy’. But with the power of CSS, adding some colour to this wordpress theme was simple enough.
Question of the day:
Why are you using the WordPress theme you have now?

Hi Danny
Its a cool template , yah its very nice color
Thanks for sending me this template
Thanks Fredster. I see your tests are coming along well and widgets are handy to you. :)
The reason I didn’t use the widgets is because it lost its styling but that can be solved by tweaking the CSS later.
