The Happy 100th
This is the 100th post that brought a waming smile to my face. I managed to meet up with Andy in the evening and noticed he got a haircut. Hmm, seemed shorter than usual. He came over with MeiWui and we went down to Lygon for dinner. There was chicken, seafood and pizza on the table. Got pretty filled up and even had to help Andy finish up the pizza though I only ate a piece. *roll eyes*
After that we headed over to MeWui’s place nearby. It wasn’t too bad a place. One of the housemates lived downstairs in the hall that just reminds me of how Picha was back then.
Not that it was a bad thing of course. We camped out there awhile and Andy called back to just let everyone know he’s here and all is fine. Whilst walking back to my place, he was playing big brother and seeing I got home though I actually wanted to walk him to the place where he could get cabs. Oh well, guess I’ll always be the youngest. -.-
The biggest smile brought to my face is by my mum. She used the Shoutbox?! OMG! I’d have thought maybe my brothers would one day use it but my mum being the first?! It’s just so surprising. Bravo to my mum! *applause* Anyway, mummy, you don’t have to put in your email address or website. Just put in a name as ‘mummyFoo’ would do.
Love you mum. Big Hugz. This is definetely a worthy 100th post.
Awesome Counterstrike Website
I was doing some design research for my Multimedia assignment tomorrow and I came across a Counterstrike website that used Flash quite efficiently. Well, they didn’t use any XML stuff though I thought they did. But the intro looks cool and their entire website is so far the best I’ve ever seen for a clan website. If you’ve got the time, take a look at Hostile-Clan. Oh yeah, I think they’re french and here’s the screenie.

From their website, I ventured to the designers of their website called Soleil Noir. I don’t know what that means. I couldn’t find an XML file in my Temp folder so I don’t think they were using it too. Yeah, I’m a big fan of XML now.
Anyway, their website is simple and clean. They’ve done quite a few jobs for people even Disney. Bravo! You can visit them at Soleil Noir.com and here’s the screenie:

Digital Web Magazine
Well, I’m not really sure if it’s just me who hasn’t been to the website for so long or it just took a change. Digitel Web Magazine has been always in My Favorites for the interesting stuff they provide as reading material for a fellow web designer. The articles they’ve hosted have given me tips on some scenarios and help me grasp a better understanding when designing for a user or a client.
If they did take a change, then I’m all tumbs for it coz now it looks cleaner, meaner with a more professional touch it. They’ve altered the website now into pure CSS and the colors are simple. I don’t really like the Search tool though because it just retrieves things that aren’t as focus. Oh well, maybe they’ll empower the search tool abit more later on. Still kudos to them for an uber smart move, visit them at Digital Web Magazine.
