My.WorldCyberGames.Org
The cyber games that all gaming phreaks and l33ts of Malaysia await to get their first taste of professional gaming and a chance to qualify to play with the best players all over the world. It isn’t a game of just simple shoot-em up or a game that you know you can trick your friends like how you did before. This is where you’ll be proven wrong and get humiliated by the underdogs or people you never knew who might have been better than you. My friends, this is Malaysia’s World Cyber Games qualifiers.
I’ve seen the games slowly evolved from its first event to what it is now in 2004. The participating games have changed from time to time and now they’re using Counter Strike: Condition Zero instead of the normal version. Hmm, wonder if it’s cause Steam is only online. *shrug* Other games included this year: Need for Speed (Undergound), 02Jam (Online Game), FIFA Soccer, StarCraft: Broodwar and UT2004. The first games they only had CounterStrike, Warcraft, FIFA and Age of Empires. Really quite a big change.. Even an online game. Interesting.
Their website is revamped for each games. I’m quite impressed by the design of the current one. It looks professional but in terms of usability, I think they need to work on it quite a lot. It’s upbeat with the colors and all but let’s take the banner for example; Does the gamer look Malaysian to you? Sigh, I think one of their tables is off too because the sides are jutting out already. Because they only manipulate the size of the content area, sometimes there’s just too much information around. I’ve also noticed that some of the graphic text aren’t clear to be read. Even the words Gear Up “Join Now” isn’t that clear. Though it’s near perfect, they needed more time on it. I get the feeling their main sponsor in2 did the website because it has a certain consistency.
The other thing I think is weird is that they never updated the results. -.-” They expect people to just view the video streaming and not just want to see the standings? Come on. That’s either lazy or just not working hard enough to be professional. Anyway, I’m going to rest my case and hope next year it’ll be a better one. Sigh, I miss joining the games.
Web web web
It’s a webby webby Sunday and tomorrow is a Monday with still another assignment to rush for Wednesday. This is what too much work can do to you. That is why what you need to do is throw the work aside, surf the Internet aimlessly and hope to find some radical stuff. On my journey of seeking Francis Bacon’s, “Knowledge is power.”, I discovered other websites like 100 Trillian Haiku. Pretty nifty stuff. Haiku is actually a japanese poem with only 3 lines, it says HERE. It sounds more like a riddle to me than any poem. You try making out what’s this suppose to mean. 0.o

Lemme know if you do make it out. Leave what you think in my shoutbox.
So after trotting along and tripping over Haiku, I was at THIS website. It contained the quotes of Francis Bacon. He’s a literature type person and some of his quotes are really interesting. Take this for example: (I like…)
Don’t you think so too? LoL! Well, not ending the sad journey there just to take my mind off work, I stumbled a website that’ll be help for anyone who still hasn’t gotten an idea for their Motion Graphics assignment. Though most of the works there are Flash but the concept works and besides, after a few examples if the thing doesn’t hit you in the head, I’ll happily mallet you.
Check out the Flash typography motion graphics HERE. Once you reach there, click on Words. Alright, back to cracking my mind and over exhilarate my creative mind that it’ll stress me out.
