There were previously two wedding couples websites that have been reviewed. The first that I’ve seen was one that I discovered while I was in Australia. That was Nate and Jessica’s one during Website Mention Time. It was a really simple website with simple info you could find out about them.
The second wedding website I came across was Jason and Susan’s website that I reviewed just this month. Their website was a little more complex in style and design. The navigation still remained simple as possible with additions of a gift registry.
The new one on the block for me is the wedding website of Damian and Laura. In a very earthly tone, they’ve set the website in a more artistic tone. A little true story of the lovely couple is that Damian proposed to Laura while in Italy at an iconic staircase dubbed the ‘snail tower’. To know more about them, you’ll have to visit their website.
The trend of wedding websites is fast evolving if you see the screenshot or visited their website. From a simple goal to allowing friends across borders to learn about the couple, it’s becoming a hub of information to learn more about the couple and what they want on their wedding to the now added information about directions of getting to their wedding.
The website of Damian and Laura has expanded links in comparison to the first two. They’ve got more things like directions to their wedding using a train, bus, and car. Talk about making your wedding more accessible. ;)
They even decided to feature their photographer and the reason behind it. In Jason and Susan’s website, it was the gift registry that was interesting. In Damian and Laura’s website, they’re allowing friends, family, and visitors to their website to suggest options for honeymooners.
According to their update list that is pulled down when you click the Update and Login button, their website was live since 3rd April 2006. That was around the time I reviewed Jason and Susan’s website. Hmm, I think I might be missing a couple of other wedding websites on the Internet already. I guess it’s cause half the time I spot these websites at CSSImport.
I’m starting to wonder how complex wedding website are soon to become very soon. And while that’s happening overseas, we’re still pretty much stuck with invitation cards, telephone bill rising, and other stress related things to do with weddings.
