New Blog Redesign Coming 2008

If I think back really hard, the last time this blog was redesigned was back in 2003-2004. Back then, I was still using the MovableType blog publishing system and only heard about the simplicity WordPress was offering in competition.

Then not long after, MovableType soon became more commercially focused and that is the opportunity which gave the overwhelming success WordPress needed. But now I’m not here to give a history lesson, it has just been so long since I redesgined my blog. The teaser is inside this entry. :)

Believe it or not, I went through 5 revisionary designs and unconsciously finished design something I didn’t know it would come out this way. My designs had and has always concentrated on the simplicity of a website or blog. So I wanted no less of this new design. Maybe that was the cause of the many revisions.

Websites Made Simple redesign teaserOkie, I’m probably not revealing anything at this moment – so called teaser. But I really believe this redesign will take my practice of designing with simplicity to a new level. It’s going to be one of those, it’s so simple that you wish you thought of it.

So I hope to introduce a new fresh and simple design in 2008.

However, before I sign off I would like to hear your feedback or opinions of what needs to be improved in this blog. Frequency of posts? More about my life running Simpleet Solutions? Contest so you can win something cool while it’ll help generate traffic?

Throw them all in the comments. :)

  1. i’ve always love what you done to your design, i wish i could design like you. but i think i am just “everywhere” whenever it comes to design, i need more practice and articulation…

anyway, speaking about teaser, what happened to your PPS design? U did showed us teaser back then, no?

  2. Thanks for the support. It’ll be nothing to scream about but just a simple change in approach.

Regarding the PPS Design, I think every blogger should know it was in the hands of the owners or team at PPS. Even their effort to start something different with WIKIs and the like as well never took off.

So I guess they’ll remain as only an aggregator at this time.
