When building a new weblog or website, the common ads you’ll want to put is Google’s Adsense. But the problem with Adsense was that you need to await approval before you could display them on your website. Also, it’s only after approval that you can see what kind of ads will be hosted based on your site’s content.
Well, here’s a handy dandy tool I picked up from Sitepoint.
The Adsense Preview Tool is very handy if you’ve been running a website and planning to host Adsense on it.
What does the tool do?
Use this tool the see the AdSense Ads that will display on your site. You can also quickly create a list of urls to add to your AdSense competitive ad filter list. Don’t worry about clicking the ads, all AdWords/AdSense tracking codes have been removed, so the advertisers will not be charged for your clicks.
Note: If your page is too new, you may see few or no results. Please wait a few mins for the Google AdSense bot to crawl your page, then try again.
However, do note that this doesn’t display a screenshot of the ads on your website. I mistakenly took this for something like that.
What this actually does is display a set of 20 Adsense ads based on your website content. This enables you to observe if there are any unusual type ads on your website.
For instance, my weblog is about website usability, design and blogging. So the ads that showed up were mostly that.
All you need to do is visit the Adsense Preview Tool and type in your URL.
But as stated, if your website or weblog is too new, this might not work. But no harm trying anyway. ;)
How about the Adsense preview tool by Google?
