Blogging has gone out of control. Much of the blog contents are sheer chat. They might as well do a session of chat rather than blog.
Since many bloggers operate as interconnected rings and mini-networks, they would fare better with a gmail group or yahoo group.
If the number of participants is small, they can just operate with their address books.

Maybe there is need for some sort of body which passes constructive comments in the comments section of the blogs.

If there is no steering and no quality control, then blogging would be great time-waster. Bloggers would have stoop low to make their blogs visitable and readable.

Think about it.

"..blog for what is right from their heart and not just from what comes out of their minds."

Allow me to explain what I meant by this. It means that older bloggers should be encouraging bloggers to blog from their hearts and not just with their minds thinking of the fame and glory. The sentence wasn't intended to urge bloggers to take on a mentor. My apologies if you took it that way.

The reason for mentors are like your parents or seniors who'll be around to guide you in any problems you might be facing. For instance, if someone started flaming your blog for no apparent reason, do you just flame back? or find the person out and wallop them? or leave them be? or any other method to solve the solution?

Goes the same for finding your blogging style. Mentors may be able to shed some light and give you feedback. But in the end it's your choice.

Mentors aren't around to give you lectures but to advice you on the best possible solution. That means that you either choose to listen or not.

@Itchy
Thanks, URL ammended. :)
