Google Adsense Etiquette is Lax

You’ve heard about the Google Adsense horror stories. Stories like bloggers getting their Google Adsense accounts banned. Normally caused by not following Google’s usage policy of Adsense.

However, I’ve come across websites who still managed to get away with it. Similarly to some websites who blend keywords and phrases into their websites. Here are 2 examples if I’m not mistaken are not within the usage policy.

I’d say the first example is really in a very grey area. But I’ve definitely heard many users with banned accounts mentioning Google doesn’t permit placement of images beside its advertisements.

This post isn’t about me becoming Google’s police but me saying despite Google’s implementation of its usage policy, they are being lax about it.

Have you gotten away from the Google Adsense etiquette?

Nuffnang Plugged My Blog

Okay. I did want to say Nuffnang Pimped My Broadband but it didn’t sound right and fair to the DiGi Pimp My Broadband campaign. Therefore, I just kept it simple and accurate. After all, we should all become responsible bloggers.

Anyway, I’m happy (and proud) my pimp my broadband video was featured in a Nuffnang blog post. As much as I don’t really like the music too, I wanted to really communicate the commonly known problems of Malaysia’s broadband user experience.

Turn off the weird techno music if you have to but let me know if I got the message correct about our Malaysia broadband experience.

If you feel the same way about it, make a difference and vote for my video by hitting the thumbs up at the DiGi Pimp My Broadband website.
