Day 1: Apple iPhone and Malaysia Apple Fans
At today’s morning business network meeting, the Apple iPhone with me in Malaysia was the center of attention. It was also my prop for the day to share my story about how blogging will benefit an awareness drive like the one I’m conducting now. Personal stories aside there was much positive feedback in the room.
Members were saying how cool that it moved so fluidly using only their fingers. Some members even said the price was affordable after I shared with them the price Shiew told me. On the other hand, we’re talking about businessmen and women who’re starting to get interested with the Apple iPhone in Malaysia. One member even said he would’ve bought the Apple iPhone if he didn’t just spend RM1100 on his new mobile device.
The zoom and accelerometer capability stole the show whenever another member did it to show the other what the Apple iPhone was capable of.

Day 0: Apple iPhone Arrives in Malaysia
It was weird noticing many not talking about the Apple iPhone in Malaysia. Hence, the first article I wrote; Why Malaysia is Not Talking about the iPhone? Then approximately 2 months later at a recent Apple event, Steve Jobs announced the new line of iPod Nano together with the iPod Touch.
In less than a week, I got wind many who were reselling Apple iPhone in Malaysia. Some were doing it through the Low Yat forum while others ordered through blogs like iPhones Unlocked. And thanks to Shiew from iPhones Unlocked, I’ve a 7-day (or longer) ownership of my very own Apple iPhone in Malaysia.
