Celcom Xpax Blackberry Party
I’ve never been known to party so thought it’s time to socialize out of the Internet world since I last puked by the road. So I won invites from Nuffnang after doing the simple slogan “I want a Blackberry Curve from Xpax because…” last Friday or the weekend.
One of the underlying reasons I wanted to join the party was also because I wanted to win a Blackberry Curve phone. Not for myself (Apple iPhone user here) but for my girlfriend; Ariel, who’s been meditating to the name Blackberry.
The Xpax Blackberry (XBerry) party was held at The Republic, Sunway Pyramid. We arrived at the Xpax Blackberry (XBerry) party all dressed up. Dawning a vest, I expected an indoor event where there was air-conditioning. Unfortunately, performances by Sean, Joe Flizzow, Arabyrd, DJ Lap Sap and DJ Tag were at an outdoor stage.
Nonetheless, I’m pleased with this event because I walked away with some great photos of the performances and ladies. Yup, I captured some lovely women bloggers at the event. Some which are known to the Malaysia blogosphere like; Ringo and Tzia. And of course, male bloggers like Saimatkong, Thomas, Bryan and Dustyhawk (Serge).
There was another familiar blogger and winner of the 1st Malaysian Dreamgirls; Cindy. I managed to grab a shot or two of her with Ringo before leaving.
The party I would’ve to say was a good awareness campaign organized by Celcom Xpax. Besides the thumping bass, performance by local artistes, blogger friends and lovely promoters, I could see throngs of customers enquiring or purchasing the Blackberry Curve.
Well, I do hope Nuffnang does give me Ariel a Blackberry Curve 8520 later. Then I wouldn’t have to start writing a Blackberry mantra on her behalf.
Oh, and of course, so she’d blog more become as famous as Ringo, then buy me a Blackberry Curve too.
Here’s a final montage of the event made by some of the other 100+ photos taken during the event.
By the way, I’m letting the cat out of the bag by officially announcing 2 new blogs which I’m looking forward to launch very soon. My photoblog; Cameranoob, and my personal blog; Name to be announced.
So I hope to party with more Nuffies and bloggers soon too.
Sudah Potong Ah?
It’s been a month since the launch of the 15Malaysia campaign. All 15 controversial videos have been released and if you haven’t downloaded them, better do so at the 15Malaysia website. Who knows, the other numerical Malaysia may ask it to be taken down due to overshadowing.
Anyway, I recently found a spin-off to the controversial video; Potong Saga. If you’ve not Potong Saga yet, here it is for your viewing pleasure.
The spin-off video below was produced by the Malaysia wimax company; PacketOne (P1) networks. I’m really happy to see a company pushing their campaigns out more on social media than conventional channels. Especially since I rarely even watch the television box anymore.
This video was done to promote their current campaign; sudah potong? In Malaysia, circumcision is one of the traditions practiced mainly by Muslims. Like the earlier video; Potong Saga, now P1 spun off the story for their campaign.
So, what did you think of the video? Or, did you understand it?
Google Adsense Etiquette is Lax
You’ve heard about the Google Adsense horror stories. Stories like bloggers getting their Google Adsense accounts banned. Normally caused by not following Google’s usage policy of Adsense.
However, I’ve come across websites who still managed to get away with it. Similarly to some websites who blend keywords and phrases into their websites. Here are 2 examples if I’m not mistaken are not within the usage policy.

I’d say the first example is really in a very grey area. But I’ve definitely heard many users with banned accounts mentioning Google doesn’t permit placement of images beside its advertisements.
This post isn’t about me becoming Google’s police but me saying despite Google’s implementation of its usage policy, they are being lax about it.
Have you gotten away from the Google Adsense etiquette?
Nuffnang Plugged My Blog
Okay. I did want to say Nuffnang Pimped My Broadband but it didn’t sound right and fair to the DiGi Pimp My Broadband campaign. Therefore, I just kept it simple and accurate. After all, we should all become responsible bloggers.
Anyway, I’m happy (and proud) my pimp my broadband video was featured in a Nuffnang blog post. As much as I don’t really like the music too, I wanted to really communicate the commonly known problems of Malaysia’s broadband user experience.
Turn off the weird techno music if you have to but let me know if I got the message correct about our Malaysia broadband experience.
If you feel the same way about it, make a difference and vote for my video by hitting the thumbs up at the DiGi Pimp My Broadband website.
