The US Whitehouse Website Trumps All Our Government Websites

Pictures speak a thousand words. In this case, one website screenshot of the official US whitehouse website trumps not only all our government websites but I’d literally say, put all of them to shame and embarassment.

Why is it so difficult to understand and educate Malaysia politicians we need government websites which are more user-friendly and functional? Even without mentioning web standards, I’ve literally not seen a Malaysia government website which even feels on par with something like the whitehouse. Pfft?! Talk about having the excuse, you don’t want to replace what’s not broken. And, here’s our Malaysia parliament’s website.

Well, there’s your benchmark. So stop being idiots and start doing it right – for once.

Google Gives Away Free Gmail Stickers

Gmail engineers seriously have all the fun. Or, Google people have all of the fun working in a company with a big heart of appreciation for their users. What am I talking about? A Google engineer broke out her vinyl cutter and made some Gmail m-velope stickers. Soon enough, from the office to the airplane now Google has decided to share the sticker love with its Gmail fans!

Gmail User Interface Upgrade

It looks like Google made a very minor user interface update to its Google Mail (Gmail) application recently. I spotted this first on Firefox 2-3 days back and it wasn’t reflected in Google Chrome. However, today the changes have been reflected even in Chrome.

These are minor Gmail user interface changes made:

This’ll definitely speed up work process and what’s there not to like – dropdown functions! Plus, Google has stuck to its core with the implementation of search, even in the dropdown.
