PC Fair III 2008 Ambassadors Part I
I met up with a couple of LowYat forum members who were bloggers. It was a small gathering before we headed into PC Fair with our DSLRs. So I guess for this post, write less and view more.

LowYat Bloggers KLCC Gathering
Blogging in Malaysia is huge! Until the Low Yat forum now has a designated section aimed at LYN bloggers. Talk about driving a large community.
Anyway, a handful of LYN bloggers decided to meet up for the first time and the selected venue was Starbucks, KLCC. At the same time, it was the 2nd day of the PC Fair III 2008. For those who don’t know me, I’ve visited the 2nd edition of PC Fair 2008 mainly to snap photos of booth babes. It was no different this time round except some of the LYN bloggers were photography enthusiasts as well so we were snapping group.
Here’s a montage to summarize the gathering and the main highlights at the PC Fair III 2008 for me. Click image for larger version (width=1024).

The LYN bloggers who attended the gathering were:
- cassplayer
- powerfox
- dylanchan1688
- aaron1kee
- freezefrost
- Jenkin_Yat
- akiraceo
- jayhan
- Mikkiz guy
- heavenhell90
- IcedNyior
It’s great to know more bloggers. And, I’d like to personally thank Aaron for introducing me to some of the ladies in the PC Fair.
Why the Apple iPhone 3G is still not in Malaysia?
A recently published article by The Star explains why clearly Malaysia telcos know of the Apple iPhone’s popularity but isn’t willing to sacrifice profits for a mere cool Apple iPhone.
Some of the parts in the article explains this:
Apple plans to distribute the device in Malaysia similar to how it was done in the US, via an agreement to appoint AT&T as the exclusive service provider of the device…
…Many have been asking why Maxis has taken so long to bring the phone to our shores. Some pointed out that a new model generally takes about six months to get here and some phone models are even launched in Malaysia before other markets…
…Industry players said Apple was also known to take a big cut from the service provider’s sales for the iPhone; therefore, local service providers were reluctant to bring the phone into Malaysia.
And to add, Star has tried contacting Apple to comment on the matter but no news so far. So for everyone still waiting – remember to shave. Otherwise, as some already my reseller is selling the Apple iPhone 3G in Malaysia.
P1 Website Upgrade Due to Customer Feedback
Remember how I was saying PacketOne (P1) wants to listen to customer feedback about their Wimax service in Malaysia? Well, their website upgrade proved to me they also listen to feedback on their website. I know this because I heavily recommended a number of things to their website manager during their P1 open floor discussion.
I’m also really happy about the upgrade because they’re not a company who listens and not do. This is the type of business culture many Malaysia companies don’t want to adapt. They don’t because they’re in fear of their bosses requests and because, they practically don’t want more work to do – though it helps them in the long term. But let me show you how the P1 website has been improved after the upgrade.

Simple Quickie: P1 Website Review, WordPress 2.7 and PC Fair III 2008
P1 Website Review
They recently revamped their website after our P1 open floor discussion. While the rest of the attendees left, I actually stayed behind for another 30 minutes or so to advice how they could’ve improved their website. And to my surprised, they did just that within the next few weeks. Plus, I’m going to tell you why I’m impressed in my website review.
WordPress 2.7
It rocks and I’m looking forward to upgrade this blog with it later. Before that, I’ll also share the 40 reasons why you should upgrade to WordPress 2.7. It’s got lots of screenshots and lots of content to be written.
PC Fair III 2008 Booth Babes
It’s here again. Yes, the 3rd edition of the PC Fair in Malaysia before 2008 comes to an end. This time I wasn’t a lone ranger but went with a few other enthusiasts whom I met up in the morning. They’re the younguns of Low Yat forum and boy, are they booth babes hungry. LOL!
So, look out for the upcoming 3 articles.
