Should Bloggers have Business Cards?

During the Malaysia Bloggers Buff 2007, I noticed there were many bloggers exchanging their business cards. Besides that you should be interested in knowing more about responsible blogging – forum conducted during the event. Of course, the businesses in the cards were of their full-time job.

However, has it ever occurred to you what if a full-time blogger gave out a business card with just his blog name, blog description, his name and the blog address? This was just a wild idea I was thinking about while I saw many bloggers sharing their business cards.

Discover Backlinks You Never Knew using Google

One of the RSS feeds I subscribe to is SEOposition and today I learned something new. It was a short entry about how you know you can see how many backlinks using Google. If you never knew, you can do it by typing this in the Google search bar.

According to Brian from SEOposition, he says this only gives a partial list of URLs linking to your site and is by no means a comprehensive look at your total number of backlinks. However, in his article View Google Backlinks in Google he’s shared another method which he feels Google may have accidentally allowed users to use.

How to Become a Responsible Blogger?

This is the second entry following the first one which was more about the Bloggers Buff 2007 event. In this entry, I’ll be writing more about what I’ve understood and how you can become a responsible blogger from what seasoned and more mature bloggers have shared during the event.

The first step to become a responsible blogger is very easy – passion. Speeches delivered by Timothy Tiah (Nuffnang), Yvonne Foong and Kenny Sia commonly talk about the passion for blogging and writing. Sure, Kenny might be raking in big bucks he never intended for all of that to happen. Yvonne is a really great example of a blogger filled with passion and if there were an award for most passionate blogger; she would be the winner.

I seriously have no idea where to start with this event come workshop come forum which was organized by Mahendran with the help of Putera MIC. Therefore, I’m actually going to turn this into a 2-part entry to cover the first Malaysia Bloggers Buff 2007 event.

The introduction of this event was solely to get bloggers of different genres together, explore various aspects of blogging and to constructively discuss issues relating to the Malaysia blogosphere; responsible blogging.
